We are looking for a senior developer with PHP and MySQL experience to join our development team. Ideal candidates will be well rounded in a large number of technologies (for example: ODBC, jQuery, CodeIgniter, Basic Linux Server Management, HTML5, CSS3, etc) and must be comfortable working and developing in a team environment with fast paced collaboration between team members to build high quality web apps.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining existing code bases (both patches as well as new features added to existing code).
- Work closely with management to develop detailed specification documents and timelines.
- Ensure that timelines establish as part of the project outline are met.
- Work with junior team members to share insight and experience to make the entire team better.
- Handling multiple projects at any given time - we need a person who can make sure multiple projects are moving forward and is comfortable jumping from one codebase to another.
- Converting a design from our design team into a functioning HTML/CSS template
Technical Skills and Experience:
- 3+ Years working as a PHP Developer (both public facing and thin client applications)
- 5+ Years working in the Technology Field (development, hardware support, etc.)
- Ability to take an application from concept through to a production environment.
- Strong understanding of PHP and comfort working with other team member's code
- Ability to work with and understand MySQL queries
- Familiarity with curl and real time credit card processing.
- Comfortable working in Agile / SCRUM development methodologies
- Experience with MVC frameworks (in particular Joomla) is a HUGE plus
